PROFILE / KOTOE MURATA
Born in Ishikawa. She studied pottery in Kanazawa and Okinawa, and currently works in Himi, Toyama. She works on flower pots and sculptures, using animal motifs inspired by folk tales and folklore. She intentionally left the natural movement of the glaze in her work, which has a smooth texture that seems to melt, and expresses the artist’s desire to enrich the hearts of those who touch it.

プロフィール
村田言恵（むらた ことえ）
石川県出身。金沢や沖縄で陶芸を学び、現在は富山県氷見で創作している。 民話や伝承から着想を得た動物たちをモチーフとして、植木鉢やオプジェを制作。硬質なセラミックに対し、独自に調合した釉薬が作品に雲のような自然な動きをまとわせ、きめ細かく滑らかな手触りと共にふっくらと柔らかな世界観を演出している。
